RECKLESS LOVE
THE THOUGHT PROCESS
After listening to the song several times (Heaven Come version) and the song story, I started thinking not just about the reckless of leaving the 99 in pursuit of just the one, but my mind also went to Genesis.
And they heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and the man and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden. But the LORD God called to the man and said to him, “Where are you?”
Genesis 3:8-9
Along with that scripture, my mind went to the robbery scene in The Assassination of Jesse James. The movie isn't relevant except for the imagery from the robbery scene. In this scene the train robbers are hiding and waiting for the train. And as the train approaches we see the light from the train breaking through the trees and revealing the robbers. I know out of context the example is more on the creepy/suspensful side so I found a better example of the same effect. But if you want to see the powerful scene you can watch it here (https://youtu.be/CzinPgsxokE?t=1m32s)
So in its simplest form, the concept for this song is the pursuit of trying to visually represent God searching for us. It also takes on more of a literal approach to some of the lyrics like . "There's no shadow you won't light up". The first video and images are from a video where a large LED light is mounted to a heavy duty drone and flown over several environments. It is then captured by either secondary drones or static cameras. With executing this concept through drones you do get more of a "God" type of effect when the drone is kept out of frame and the light is down spotting the enviroments. When you see the drone it feels pretty sifi, which I would think we would want to avoid.
SOLUTION ONE
This solution is to still do the concept through the light and nature. However, it is to do a miniature version of the woods. In pulling the light source down from above, we lose any bit of the alien or sifi vibe.

Solution Two
If we do want to stick with the above light, in order to stay under budget we may need to pursue 3D solutions as opposed to using drones.
