NO LONGER SLAVES
THE CONCEPT
As I listened through this song, specifically this live one, the strings, guitar and overall flowing nature of the verses and choruses. The immediate imagery I saw was the below image from a sony commercial I saw years ago. There are so many elements of it that I feel connect with the song. I wouldn't want to have the woman in the shot but the idea of the floating fabric with the caustics from the light paint a picture simple picture of a free flowing fabric. The idea of banners and flags and having them float in the water I feel has a sort of ethereal feel that I think fits so well at several parts of the song.
SOLUTION ONE
I feel the primary solution would be to do all of the imagery practically by jumping in a diving pool with a camera, fabrics, backdrops and lighting to capture what we need. Another solution would be to capture the fabrics in a studio space on a black backdrop in a similar way.
Solution two
The secondary solution would be to use animation to create the same cloth animations. This would give us a bit more control and assist in ensuring the movment matches the dynamics of the different parts of the song.
